The history of the artistic location of Murnau, south of Weilheim, is characterised by the works of personalities such as Gabriele Münter, Wassily Kandinsky and Ödön von Horvath. Particularly the Munich Oktoberfest, which takes place every year from the end of September to the beginning of October on the Theresienwiesen.
